GLIMZEE FACE PAINTING & EVENT SERVICES AGREEMENT
Professional Face Painting & Event Services

This agreement is between Glimzee (“Artist”) and the Client listed on the booking form. By signing this agreement and submitting the required payment, the Client agrees to the following terms.

1. EVENT & SERVICES

The Artist agrees to provide the face-painting and/or other services selected by the Client at the date, time, and location listed on the booking confirmation.

The Artist will provide professional cosmetic-grade face-painting products and supplies appropriate for face painting.

Services are limited to the amount of time and services purchased. The Artist will stop services at the scheduled end time unless additional time has been approved and paid for.

2. BOOKING & PAYMENT

A non-refundable 25% retainer is required to reserve the Client's event date and time.

The event is not considered officially booked until:

This agreement has been signed; and

The required retainer has been received.

The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For bookings made less than 7 days before the event, full payment may be required at the time of booking.

Accepted payment methods will be listed on the Glimzee invoice or booking page.

3. TRAVEL FEES

Glimzee serves Columbia and surrounding areas.

Current travel fees are:

0–15 miles: FREE

16–30 miles: $15

31–45 miles: $25

46–60 miles: $40

60+ miles: Custom quote

Travel fees are based on the event location provided at booking.

Parking fees, tolls, or other required event-location fees may be the Client's responsibility if applicable.

4. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

The retainer is non-refundable because the Artist reserves the requested date and time specifically for the Client.

Clients who need to reschedule should contact Glimzee as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to the Artist's availability.

If the Client cancels 7 or more days before the event, the remaining unpaid balance will be canceled, but the retainer will not be refunded.

If the Client cancels less than 7 days before the event, the Artist may require payment of the remaining balance because the reserved date and time may no longer be available to another client.

5. WEATHER & OUTDOOR EVENTS

For outdoor events, the Client must provide a safe, shaded and weather-protected area for the Artist and guests, unless Glimzee tent setup is included in the approved quote.

If rain, extreme heat, excessive wind, severe weather, or other unsafe conditions are expected, the Client is responsible for providing an appropriate indoor or covered alternative.

If the event is canceled because of weather, Glimzee will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the booking based on availability.

6. SETUP & EVENT LOCATION

Glimzee reserves one hour before the event and 90 minutes after the event for setup, packing, and travel. The service start and end times are shown in the approved quote; these scheduling buffers do not extend or reduce the purchased service time.

Setup time does not reduce the Client's purchased service time.

The Client agrees to provide a clean, safe, reasonably accessible area for the Artist to work.

The Artist may refuse to work in conditions that are unsafe or unsuitable for face painting.

7. GUESTS & CHILDREN

A parent or legal guardian is responsible for children receiving services.

The Artist is not responsible for supervising children or guests.

For safety and sanitation reasons, Glimzee reserves the right to decline face painting for anyone who appears ill or has an active contagious skin condition, open wound, significant irritation, or other condition that may make face painting inappropriate.

8. ALLERGIES & SKIN SENSITIVITIES

The Client and/or parent or legal guardian is responsible for informing the Artist of any known allergies, sensitivities, or relevant skin conditions before services begin.

Although Glimzee uses professional cosmetic-grade products and follows appropriate hygiene and sanitation procedures, individual skin reactions can occur.

A patch test may be requested before face painting.

The Artist will not knowingly apply products to broken, irritated, infected, or otherwise unsuitable skin.

9. SANITATION

Glimzee follows professional hygiene and sanitation practices between clients.

Brushes and reusable tools are cleaned and sanitized appropriately, and disposable applicators are used when appropriate.

Water and supplies are changed or refreshed as necessary throughout the event.

10. ARTWORK & SERVICE LIMITATIONS

Face-painting designs may be simplified depending on the number of guests, available time, age of the guest, and event conditions.

The Artist reserves the right to decline requests that are unsafe, inappropriate, offensive, or outside the scope of Glimzee services.

The Artist cannot guarantee that an exact reference image will be reproduced identically.

11. OVERTIME

Additional time may be available if requested and if the Artist's schedule permits.

Overtime must be approved by Glimzee and will be billed at the Artist's current hourly rate.

If overtime is not available, the Artist will end services at the originally scheduled time.

12. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT

The Client is responsible for damage to Glimzee equipment or supplies caused by the Client, guests, children, pets, or unsafe conditions at the event location, except for ordinary wear and tear.

13. PHOTOGRAPHY & PORTFOLIO

With the Client's permission, Glimzee may take photographs or videos of completed face-painting work for its portfolio, website, and social media.

For minors, permission must be provided by the parent or legal guardian.

The Client may decline photo permission without affecting the ability to book Glimzee.

14. ARTIST CANCELLATION

If Glimzee must cancel because of an emergency or circumstances beyond the Artist's reasonable control, Glimzee will make reasonable efforts to find a suitable replacement or reschedule the event.

If the booking cannot be fulfilled or rescheduled, amounts paid toward the unperformed service will be refunded.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Client understands that face painting involves the application of cosmetic products to the skin and that individual reactions cannot always be predicted.

The Client agrees to disclose known allergies and skin sensitivities before services are provided.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Glimzee's liability arising from the services will be limited to the amount actually paid by the Client for the affected services.

Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.

16. AGREEMENT

By signing below, the Client confirms that:

The information provided during booking is accurate.

They have read and understand this agreement.

They understand the payment, cancellation, weather, travel, and service policies.

They have disclosed relevant allergies or skin sensitivities.

They agree to the terms and conditions of Glimzee's service
